Yes, when I said Macy's, I meant the one in NYC Charlotte's not too bad, but the Dillard's in Charlotte is pretty awesome Southpark mall is just terrific, there's no other mall shoved wonderfully deep inside the best and poshest place of town Yesterday I spent about three hours in Macy's and Lord and Taylor For just two ties and a couple of V neck sweaters, all of which are exquisite

It was "upper scale", but when it became Dillards, they tried to make it a Neiman Marcus ripoff for the mall rats I remember paying around $200 for a pair of ankle boots back in the 80's when Dillards took over

For the higher end brands you've mentioned, I think Dillard's (at West Town Mall) will be your best bet There is a shoe store in Bearden, Coffin Shoes, 5925 Kingston Pike Knoxville, TN 37919, (865) 588-8309, that has been there forever and ever They used to be "the" place for shoes I can't recommend or not b c I haven't been there in years but it is a locally owned business Good luck!

They became Dillards downtown Also Mission, Greens' Jewlers, Braslau's Furniture Morris Litchenstein and his wife, local leaders in many ways These were all great Jewish familys' that cared about that the area, my parents knew many of them I guess I did to, but was too young to know who I knew
